I have a question about black standard Nikkor. found this photo from auction,
As you see its front rim is black. serial number is 331234, do you think this lens is original black?
or re-painted one?

331050 to 331484 is a confirmed batch by Bob Rotoloni, refer to this on-line thread:
The lens you mention falls within that batch! Better weigh it to make sure though. If so, it's worth much more than a chrome or black/chrome rim. Kiu |

probably 1952 but not positive, serial number is correct. price was low.

the camera needed work, a nikon S, (worth about $250), was the camera that it came with from the factory. only felt right to keep it with it's family.
buyer did not thinks so. though.

the one that i sold was 331290 (i think) i also have 331284. 331280 is shown in Mckeowen's camera price guide. the lens on yahoo japan looks like 3313xx jim |
