I've got a Micro-Nikkor 105 f4 AI that was part of a four lens package I won at a bankruptcy auction about twenty-odd years ago, and a Nikkor 35~70 3.5 AIS zoom with Macro that I bought a few years ago on ebay.
Had it not been for the auction, I likely would never have purchased the 105. However, it is a wonderful lens, very sharp edge to edge, as well as being a nice portrait lens and I've taken some very nice shots with it over the years.
My only complaint is that it lacks the reach of the 200 f4 Micro. A good photobud has a 200 which I've used and it's very sharp.
One of these days, I'll grab a 200 from ebay or KEH.
The 35~70 was also nice, but nothing like the 105, as it doesn't focus down as close, but was still nice for street macro. It was eventually replaced by a Tamron SP 35~105 2.8 because of the wider zoom range and extra half-stop of speed, and is currently on permanent loan to my Nephew. I miss the macro feature, but it just means I also schlepp the 105 when I think I might be doing macro.
