What do you think about these two, taken on different days from the same balcony:

Kiu,
Other than the differences in the colours caused by the differences in the light on the two days, I find nothing interesting about these shots. There are neither any interesting patterns or graphic designs in the picture elements, nor people engaged in interesting activities to hold the viewers eye, and so for me, these are nothing more than holiday snapshots. |

I can agree with that but at the same time this type of photo must be among the most common.... so many people on vacations must have taken millions pf
pictures like this from their hotel rooms looking out at the beach!! (I have a number of them myself :-) )

You guys are tough!
I shot 10 rolls of film during that holiday, can't find more than a hand-full of descent shots to show for it!! I guess I need more practice? Here is one I kinda like: Although the angle is not strange and the frame was over-exposed a bit... Let us see some strange angles from you guys. Kiu |

And here's another...
This is a self-portrait I took as part of a self-assignment on photos of photographers that I've been working on for several years. Pre-focused and premetered, the camera wa placed on the ground and fired via the self-timer. Motorized Nikon FA Samyang 18~28 f4.0-4.5 AIS manual focus Fuji Sensia II 100 ISO colour slide f11 @1/250th with Vivitar 5600 flash set to minus 1-1/2 for fill.

Kiu,
If my tulip shot looks normal to you, then you must be shorter than I ever imagined! |
